The name
In Hawaiian, liuliu means to get ready — to prepare. Its close cousin liʻuliʻu means to linger, to spend a long time somewhere.
Between those two words lies the whole journey: the anticipation before you leave and the moments that make you want to stay. The app is named for both.
Why it exists
Trips are planned in pieces, but experienced as a whole.
So someone who's traveled to 50+ countries built liuliu — a way to see every journey, stay, and experience together, on a timeline and a globe.
